I know that around this period the famous Moreau brothers among other foundries were producing bronze for Marti and Japy Freres clocks, some of those for Tiffany. This clock in so many ways exemplifies why the Tiffany name is associated exquisite beauty and design, along with the highest quality. The clock features The Goddess Diana seated with a bow in her hands.
The movement is in working order, with bell chime on the hour and half. However this clock is estate fresh and I can't say when it was last cleaned and serviced. The clock itself measures about 19" x 10" x 6.5.
The garnitures measure about 17" x 6" x 4. There are some condition issues that need to be noted and should also be visible in the photos.
Several of the roman numerals are missing from the face. There is some chipping/roughness to the bezel glass on the top right side. There are some imperfect spots in the creases of Diana's dress, I think this is probably a foundry fault. The marble piece from the bottom side section from a garniture is missing. There are some small flea bite type chips here and there. Also I have not cleaned the clock so it will be complete with some estate dust. Overall though, this is a magnificent antique. It should the pride of any great collection.
