7, 12, 13, 14, 17 and 18 of what would be if complete a 19 volume set of this extremely rare and early history of the French Revolution authored anonymously by "Two Friends of Freedom", the pseudonym of Fr. Clavelin who were members of the radical Jacobin Club. This particular history is known for its defense of some of the most radical phases of the French Revolution. Three volumes printed in the last four years of the 18th century and 3 printed in the first 3 years of the 19th century.

Volumes are bound in tree-calf leather, spines have labels bearing title in gold gilding as well as design and volume numbers in gold gilding. Exteriors show some wear like rubbing to the outer corners and edges of the spines and boards with some volumes showing a bit of chipping at these rubs.

Volumes also show crazing to the spine faces as well as some between the hinges of the spines and covers which is only superficially effecting the outer layer of the leather binding as no covers are detached and the original bindings remain sturdy and firm. Outer page fore-edges are marbled as are the front and reverse endpapers with the front endpapers having 19th century former owner's bookplates. Interiors of the books are in the main quite clean with some scattered foxing and as aforementioned, the bindings on the volumes are tight with no pages coming loose, detached or missing. Volume 7 totals 256 pages, Volume 12 totals 430 pages, Volume 13 totals 424 pages, Volume 14 totals 342 pages, Volume 17 totals 417 pages, Volume 18 totals 372 pages. Volumes together measure approximately 6 x 5 3/8 x 3 3/8 inches and weigh 2 1/2 pounds.
